Have always preferred electric grills . The Edge from Char - Broil is without question the best electric grill I have ever used . Easy assembly first of all with clear directions and part list ldentification .. Another excellent feature is this grill gets hot fairly quickly . I like to sear our food first and then reduce the heat . Perfect . This grill heats to 700 degrees without fail . This has been a 5 star purchase . The only complaint is the on off touch feature . I fear this will be a problem someday but we will see .

Poor quality parts

The grill started to trip my GFCI, so contacted support who told me it was most likely the heating element. Unfortunately there are none available, but they’ll get the backorder in and in a few weeks, I’ll be good to go.
That was over 2 months ago. So I am still sitting with a broken grill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No Longevity, Poor Cooking Quality

I've owned this grill for two years and the build quality is horrific. I have this grill covered and outside for the summer months and otherwise it's stored in a garage. The electric parts have already shorted so bad they are triggering my GFCI every time I plug in the grill. The inside of this grill looks pristine, so I have no idea how it failed on something so expensive already. Also, the coating from the inside of the grill is peeling and constantly dropping flakes in food.
The cook quality, when the grill was functional, was very bad. Temperature is very unsteady and temperature readings were all over the place. I had to continually increase the temperature while cooking to have even a small chance of an even cook throughout.
I will certainly not be buying or recommending one of these grills to anyone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pleasantly Surprised!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must admit, I was a little skeptical about using an electric outdoor grill. I just didn’t think the food would turn out as good as on my other, larger, gas grill. But I was so pleasantly surprised to learn that the food turns out great…perfectly grilled and tasty! The reason I tried it was because I wanted to use it on my upper covered deck/porch for convenience sake. My other grill is located in my lower, detached garage and it’s a pain to walk down and back again with food in tow. (Not to mention I had to make sure there was propane filled.) Now I can go onto my deck to grill with everything at my fingertips. I like that my husband or I can be part of the party when having friends over and not be down by the old grill away from everyone. The grill itself is easy to use. It has a knob with digital display to show and set the temperature. It also has a button for self cleaning. This is a game changer for me! I hate scrubbing dirty grill plates. Just set this button and it burns all that grime away. The plates can then be removed for further clean up, if desired ,and then slipped effortlessly back into place. I never expected I’d be so happy with this grill. So glad I took a chance! If you’re on the fence and not sure whether to get this grill, I say go for it!

Perfect for apt/condo decks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If your condo or apartment doesn't allow flame grills on the deck, this handy little electric grill will be terrific! It's a sturdy unit, easy to assemble, and takes up just small footprint. The grill gets HOT, too! I set it to 700° to cook some ribeyes, and it seared them beautifully. I love the side shelves that can be raised or lowered ss needed, a nice touch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I absolutely love the features of my new Edge grill. You can use it in ways not possible with using propane, charcoal or wood because of the available temperature settings and the self cleaning feature. I am now happy that my condo regulations limit me to electric grilling, so as to limit the dangers of fire or explosion.
