[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love to grill out as a family at least once a week. We have several types of grills but never imagined we would add an electric grill to our collection. The concept of electric is really appealing. Never run out of propane and never have to buy charcoal. Super easy to set up and use. Just plug it in and you're all set. You just need to be aware of leaving it out uncovered since it is electric. Size wise it's pretty slim and doesn't take up a lot of space. I really like that you can select the temperature and adjust as needed. Makes it easier to know exactly how hot the grill is and adjust it depending on what you're cooking. The inside of the grill actually holds quite a bit. It cooks evenly and still gives grill marks and leaves food with that slight grill taste. I also really like the auto clean feature and use this anytime after I grill. It also has auto shut off so you don't forget. Definitely a new concept for me in my grilling adventures but I'm hooked and have really enjoyed using this grill for many different foods.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a high quality, well-engineered product that assembled with no issues and has been a joy to use thus far. I have owned several other makes of electric grills (open flames are not allowed by the townhouse association), and the experience was always underwhelming, akin to cooking food in an oven. No more! This grill produces food that looks, tastes, and smells like it came off a gas grill, and is the first electric model I've ever owned that actually leaves food with a real "grill taste." Burgers, hotdogs, kebabs, and steak have come out great so far. Cranked all the way, the grates get well over 700 degrees. The self-cleaning mode is very handy, and turns anything left on the grates to carbon and ash, which is easily brushed away. Like all electric grills, the Edge does take a while to pre-heat (about 30 minutes from cold to 700), but I can live with that in exchange for being able to grill on a balcony, without worrying about running out of fuel (or running afoul of fire codes). Well done, Char Broil!

i love my edge bbq it was a learning curve going from propane to electric but i love
it no regrets easy to maintain and the self cleaning option is great for the month of june i have used it 15 days .

Yes grill is awesome. I live in New York City so I have to do electric. I had another electric grill that got up to 450°. This actually gets up to 700. It is perfect. It also looks very substantial, not like a normal crappy electric grill. A+. Set up was involved but not difficult. The packing job was outstanding. If you have the limitations I do, you will be thrilled with this grill.
