I surprised my elderly mother with this set, and we built it together for Chinese New Year. She was delighted by the Chinese characters and enjoyed having an excuse to teach them to me. I was going to ask her if the set was named correctly, but we were too busy having fun building it.

This set is absolutely beautiful when displayed. Both look 3 dimensional with the flowers and gold nuggets taking it to another level. It was easy to build but was fun to see it take shape. It's joyful to see and gives a festive vibe to the Chinese New Year. I love it and have gotten compliments on it.

This may be one of the prettiest lego sets ever! I did this with my family over Lunar New Year and had so much fun! The instruction booklets are very thorough, so don't be intimidated by the number of pieces! The finished products are stunning, and I will be putting them out for display every new year going forward!

Overall fun build, I always enjoy building legos as a stress reliever. There was just one disappointment about this build though, I was actually in shock for a few seconds that the Chinese characters were not given as stickers, and that they came as a whole piece already... might seem like a small thing but I've always enjoyed the sticker parts. Also, not so sure the turquoise was a good color choice...

What a fun build!!

I got this set to go with some other oriental Lego sets I already have - the Bonsai Tree and the Lion Dance Guys! This set is so fun and I love just looking at all the colors, the lotus is amazing and even the koi are pretty cool! If you don't have this, get it before it's gone! PS I would call this a relatively simple build but still super fun watching it all come together!

such a cute set, perfect for displaying at home, the photo on the box does not show how great it really I spent 2 of my days off, working on it and enjoyed the relaxing time following the step by step instructions.

I’m Asian and I approve this product. In fact, I’m Vietnamese and I can’t care less if the set says Lunar New Year or has Chinese symbols or the wrong shade of red. It’s a great looking set that looks even better in person. I currently have it next to my Lunar New Year display at home. I highly doubt LEGO maliciously put out this set to offend its Chinese customers. Everyone already knows it’s “Chinese” whether it’s called Lunar New Year or Lunisolar or Chunjie or Chinese New Year. Lighten up and go play instead of complaining.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Legos, it’s a family night must for us. We love all things Lego, but these were definitely special! We got to break up into teams and make a challenge out of it. As always, instructions were clear and super helpful, all the pieces were there and we had zero issues! We now have these on display. Would definitely recommend!!
