Solid and satisfying model

This is a wonderful model. Nice detail, and with LEGO's usual solid build and excellent instructions.
I bought this plane specifically for the mechanized propellers and landing gear, and it does not disappoint. They're very satisfying to build, and very satisfying to operate. The landing gear is sturdy enough to roll the plane on when it's deployed too.
I would love to see an even bigger, more detailed mechanized plane model like this, perhaps of the CL-415 Super Scooper whose landing gear is even cooler.
Great model, well worth the price.

Excellence in engineering

A difficult task to take on such a complicated piece of equipment in the real world, again Lego has mastered the task. This is a fun piece with realism displayed. Definitely educational.

Fun Build

What made this build interesting for me was how it fits my background. Having trained as an auto mechanic, worked for an airline and was a career airfield firefighter/inspector it was like the project was made just for me. Having done several of the Technic line now, including the beast D-11 bulldozer, I have to rate the Firefighter Aircraft the most fun. Also, a big hats off to all the engineers and technicians that make these things come to life.

Front landing gear problem

The front landing gear do not raise and lower reliably. I've taken it apart several times and it still binds occasionally.

It's never fun when things don't work as they should. You’ll want to make sure that each part is in the exact position shown in the instructions and that everything’s pressed together tightly (except the gears, which need some extra room to turn). Awesome set

Great set, fun to build, and very cool features. One of my favorite features about this set is that the propellors move very easily. It is also much bigger than what the box shows. The only flaw about this set is that sometimes the landing gear does not work correctly. Sometimes the landing gear beneath the wings will not fold up. Otherwise, this set is a great set, and I would recommend it for Lego lovers.
