Sections don't stay together
on December 3, 2023

Decent build until you realize that the large individual sections don't really stay together. Got through entire thing and then immediately shattered

Honest Thoughts, No Read it Though
on June 2, 2023

Honestly, it looks fabulous, no doubt about it. I have it on top of my book stand and it couldn't be better.
However, I have an issue with the actual building of it. No, no missing pieces were found luckily, nor even a missing bag like a few people have reported. Heck, even the boxes had amazing art on them. But...I couldn't help but notice that a majority of this build is just skeleton framing with panels all around. Even the cockpit isn't actually attached to anything, it just sits there with the ends of two studs poking out to prevent it from being too loose or falling forward.
I love all the interior details, I think those are magnificent! It's just how it was constructed, which took a little joy out of the building process. It was nice to see it come along and it is indeed very big, but to just connect most of the exterior with paneling and not having the cockpit glass top not even connected properly is just...not cool. Not cool Lego, for the amount of money people spend on the set, it should be better if it actually snaps somewhere on the actual Razor Crest, rather than sit loosely on top.

We’re sorry to hear your building experience with The Razor Crest™ was disappointing. We want our builders to feel inspired and have lots of fun building their new sets. We’ll share your suggestions with our design teams so they know where we’ve missed the mark this time.

Great Play Value, Decent Display Piece
on August 16, 2024

+ Strong play value
1.a. hatch doors are easy to play with
1.b. Panels hold up well to excessive wooshing (don't try to flip it upside though!)
1.c. Interior is easily accessible with straightforward disassembly.
1.d. landing gear rotates, so it can handle somewhat clumsy landing.
- Poor silhouette: Pretty much all of the promotional art makes this thing look great, but I dunno, in person it just looks like a giant grey blob. And this is a bit frustrating because out of all the UCS sets I have (venator, tie interceptor, X-wing) this by-and-large has the best play value.
So, my take is that if you are willing to go into this price range and had to pick between this and the venator-class republic attack cruiser, go for this one if you are more excited about wooshing with your sets.

This set is massive for the price. The inside is fully detailed. Great mini figure selection as well. The force is strong with this one. A+ from the Brick Professor.

It is a very well built set, took me around 3 days to build in-between work and life but was fun. The only downside(imo) is its not chrome like in the show.

A must have for every Mandalorian fans- Beautiful model full of hidden surprises, Fun building experience, never boring. And yeah, the obvious: this thing is HUGE and heavy. Definitely not for swinging around pretending you are saving Baby Yoda. But beautiful on a shelf!

Could be better

This is gonna be a pretty honest review, it’s a good build, though I’ve had a few problems with it. First off, is the missing or wrong pieces. Notably the cockpit glass for mine had a duplicate glass piece, and this would be fine, but the missing Lego piece help does not have piece # 6405214 listed as something found in the build, and it being such a prominent part definitely makes it look, bad, and for the price that’s really bad. The other pieces that were missing or had dupes for are smaller and less noticeable, but still had to either use my own supply or the duplicates that seemed to have been added instead of the correct piece.
Second is the building instructions, or I guess the actual books, the first two came in pretty pristine condition as they had come in the protective cardboard containers, but the second two both came in a paper bag package? I had opened it super gently but it seems that the edges got roughed up and there was ink marks on some of it. It feels petty, but I do enjoy keeping some of my more favored Lego instructions either out on a book shelf or on a coffee table, and if someone else is looking into it, maybe be prepared.
Now for the actual build, it’s good, took a good amount of time to build, most of the techniques are pretty good, though you might have to fix some things later on if you build this, I found that while building larger sections that include long tiles, those sections would start to deform, it was super noticeable while building the landing gear (specifically the part where the landing gear is supposed to retract into) that the 12 stud tiles were bending upward pretty strongly. This is also probably one of the more fragile builds I’ve ever done, and I know it’s a model build, but the cockpit section doesn’t even have connections to keep it in place, it feels real loose in some sections, and while I also get that it’s to reach some of the deeper places, you can also get to those locations through better methods like taking of the wings, it just feels weird how few connection places there are at some junctions Also wished that there were more painted pieces, but seeing as I’ve already found difficulty with one of the few actually printed pieces in the set, that might actually be a good thing.
Also tried to add an image like 5 times and couldn’t. Even very gingerly placed it on my beige carpet thinking it might’ve been something in the background, but nope.
