[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I forgot how much fun it was to build the lego sets. Also been a big fan of Star Wars. So best of both worlds. Loved Legos since I was a kid!
The best experience ever, its not about the price, its not about the toy, its not about finishing it fast and its about what everyone thinks about it, but its about the experience of doing it, learning, developing skills and building my own great imagination.
I’ll start with disclaimers - I don’t play with sets. I don’t display them - I build them and reverse order take them apart and rebag. And I’m “meh” on the Mandalorian.
And still…I love this set. I have or have had almost every big LEGO ever made. I built this 3 times within the first year of its release. It has so many fun modular components. I love building smooth titled modules and then attaching them securely to a bigger part to create a whole and this set does this so well so many times.
I’ve chatted with some folks on selling sites trying to buy other sets from me and when we come across them wanting the Razor Crest I tell them to not buy what I’m selling and go get it. I don’t understand how more people aren’t in love with it. It’s heavy. It’s dense. It’s secure as all get out. Top 5 build of big LEGO sets. All time.
I have built hundreds of Lego sets over the years and this is by far my favorite one. The most fun to build. Great price for what it is. And the shape the designers were able to create for this iconic Star Wars ship. I have also built the UCS AT-AT and it’s super cool as well and fun to build. But it does not have an interior as detailed as the razor crest interior. The price and size is insane compared to the UCS at-at. I would definitely recommend this set to any star wars fan out there. I am just a little disappointed it does not have retractable landing gear to display it in flight mode or just as an added feature.
