Awesome build

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This build is a beast ! Such a fun build. Interesting techniques on the build. Sadly there is no toilet in the build. Half the weight alone is in the engines. I give this a solid 9 out of 10

Great Piece but falls short

The piece is pretty good and the design is beautiful with intricate detail within the ship. The cons for me is the lack of metallic pieces in the design. Not saying the whole ship needs to be metallic but they could have included some pieces. Another con is that the ship detaches into too many compartments (cockpit, wings, mid section, and end) but lack any bricks to hold them to the structure. I feel like the ship is a bit fragile because the compartments but overall the ship is a great display piece. I can't imagine any kid playing in the inside of the hull without other Lego pieces breaking off. Plus this ship is heavy! I feel like Lego already had a toy version to play with but this version should be more structured as a display rather than an interactive toy.

One of the Best Lego Sets Ever

Alongside the UCS Millenium Falcon this is one of the best lego sets ever! I like how few studs are visible, the interior details are great and the angles are amazing and how well all these crazy angles meet is incredible. Even with all the interior and figures - this is still more a display set and than play set, just because it is so BIG and HEAVY.

Things that make this set epic including: great minifigs, cool building technics, lots of details, playability is amazing, authenticity is spot on. I loved the entire experience! Well done, LEGO Star Wars!

The best UCS build.

Pros: This was a pleasure to build. Now as a UCS set of course this is meant as a display piece...but I have to give Kudos to Lego here...short of flipping it inverted...this set is actually playable. It stays in one piece very well and is easy to move and fly if you are inclined. It also incorporates a LOT of clever nonstandard build techniques to get the angles and details just right. The finished look is just wonderful...one of the nicest of all the UCS builds. The interior is very accurate to the show with lots of details and even a few Easter eggs for the Star Wars fans. This was by far the best UCS build experience I have had.
Cons: Stickers...for the price UCS sets should all have printed parts. Likewise, Lego is really stingy with figs in these sets. For the price we should have gotten the rest of the Mando crew...and a villain. 10 figures in a set this expensive is not unreasonable...instead we got 3 1/2. Lastly...I think the landing gear should have gotten more attention...the back two feet are showing signs of stress fractures and it has just been sitting on its own weight on a shelf. It looks good...but these feet needed more reinforcing. At some point they will have to be replaced as the technic parts in them are slowly failing under the stress of the weight.

I apparently got lucky and was not missing any pieces in my set which was something I was relieved about. I realize that some of the components are not the most sturdily attached but it is also a gigantic ship with many angles and tons of interior design and playability. Huge fan of the work done to minimize stickers and visible studs. Great minifig selection. Only real complaint is the design of the cockpit dome but it’s not world ending IMO.
