Too many tiny pieces
on April 7, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is a huge fan of Harry Potter. This Lego set of Hufflepuff House has amazing detailed pieces. It has Susan, Cedric and Hannah mini figures. The 3D back panel is a great feature. The app was very helpful and I definitely recommend using the app when building this set. Go step by step with the app. There are so many tiny pieces that we become frustrated with the building process. The recommended age is 9+ but my 12 yr old needed help. We haven’t been able to fully complete the house yet. Be sure to keep a baggy for each individual section until you are done fully assembling this. The Lego Builder app is a must. It also adds to the fun. In my opinion, this is an advanced Lego building set. It will look wonderful hanging on my sons bedroom wall. I would recommend this to those who have advanced experience in Lego building.
Pros: Great graphics, Lego has a builder app to assist, many pieces from the Harry Potter stories, it hangs on the wall and has easy portability.
Cons: So many tiny pieces and very time consuming.

Fun Lego Playset!
on April 10, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] [Employee of lego-global] This Hufflepuff House Banner Lego set was great for my 9 year old daughter. She is a huge fan of Harry Potter so when she saw this she had to have it. She picked this particular one because it was it includes garden like pieces and includes flowers. She also liked that this one includes 2 girls unlike the Ravenclaw Banner with 2 boys. This one has 313 pieces. She is new to Legos so it took her a couple days to want to finish it. This playset was fun for the adventure through the app and the 3D images included. Now that she put it all together she has it hanging on her wall using the included hanger. As a parent I appreciate the mobility of this set as all the pieces can fit in the enclosed banner. I highly recommend to anyone who loves Harry Potter or loves Lego sets.

Structurally Unsound

I have thousands of hours of build time of my own, and helping my 11 year old put this together was almost impossible. The plates do not line up like you would hope, the first level center wall was the only stable piece. This will be the first lego set I have ever actually taken back.

Extremely Difficult to put together

Verified Purchase:No
This is the second version of this set I have put together, the other one being the Ravenclaw house banner, and I had to almost give up again because this set is so frustrating and parts break apart easily. I’ve tried brick safe glue but even that doesn’t really work. There is really no supper holding these pieces together. If I ever manage to finish this set, I will be surprised. Visually, it’s very appealing though

While the evil Lord Business from THE LEGO® MOVIE™ is a big fan of gluing his models together, we don’t think it’s a good idea to use any type of glue on LEGO bricks, as gluing them can cause the bricks to change shape. You might want to try the LEGO Builder app for the 3D version of the instructions to catch smaller details. You'll want to make sure that each part is positioned exactly as shown in the instructions and that everything is pressed together firmly (except the gears, which need some extra room to turn). If you’d like a hand troubleshooting the build, don't hesitate to reach out at LEGO.com/Service, we’re happy to help!
