Has everything you'd need or want, Except for a backlit keyboard! If it had that this label maker would be top of the line. Which it pretty much is even without it. Thank you! @brother #brother

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This label maker is pretty top notch if you ask me. I love the Bluetooth capabilities and that I can connect with my phone and computer. The labels are huge at 1” but you can use smaller tape. I also love that it precuts the label for you after it prints. My old maker you had to cut it and if you weren’t careful or slow enough it would mess up the label, so that’s a definite plus for me. It’s pretty big in size but I like it. Overall, very nice label maker!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very handy, better than I expected

I was looking at hand-held label maker for tagging cable and equipment identification, when I came across this portable label maker. I like the flexible connectivity that allows me to use the local keyboard, use software on my Macintosh Computer, and even access it from my iPhone over Bluetooth!
I use the Bluetooth most because I can simply design and print cable tags then collect them from the printer and apply. This means I don’t need another clunky piece of equipment with my tools and I can conveniently place the label printer.
One star ding is for the odd interface and some confusing documentation. Some of the keys are modal meaning they will only work while in a particular mode - the documentation fails to mention these prerequisites.
All-in-all I’m very pleased with my 610BT labeler. I’m glad I upgraded to the wider tape as well.

could be better

I am disappointed with the 1-inch cut the device makes every single label you make, unless you choose multiple labels to print at the same time. but you still get the initial 1-inch wasted cut.
What i do like is the customizing of the labels themselves.

Great printer, buy over and over again

The PT-D610BT is the third Brother P-Touch label printer I have purchased. The printers required replacement for no other reason that with newer versions of MacOs, Brother decided to stop supporting the older OS thus requiring throwing out the printer and purchasing new. Additionally Brother changed the tape cartridge such that the older cartridges cannot be used. Planned obsolescence.

Does the job the description says

The printer works well. The print is clean and dense. It is a bit wasteful with the added un-printed length. This could add up if you are making many short labels. I connected mine to my PC with USB. The software for this is less user friendly than expected but it does do the job.
