It runs all of the programs I need for school perfectly and has built in webcam for my live school sessions. I got this laptop as an entry level gaming laptop for my son. In advance of buying, I reviewed performance tests of the graphics card and found that it was about 50% faster than his current entry level desktop PC (which works fine for gaming). The real-world performance was very different. The computer lagged badly and frequently ran out of RAM. I suspect the minimal amount of RAM was the main culprit. In any case, this laptop was not suitable for even basic gaming. It's probably quite fine as a workhouse laptop for home use, but not for gaming.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
