I had a competitor's flat top grill and had nothing but issues with it. I've been wanting a Blackstone for quite a while and it has not disappointed. The cast iron top is super thick and heavy and seasoned well. So far all the cooking I've done on it has been great no issues plenty of heat and no issues sticking flaking or peeling and it's easy to clean. Love having the hood makes it easy to store with a cover on.
