Even changed my spouse's mind !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] That's right !! At first my spouse was very reluctant and extremely hesitant to eat anything from an electric "grill". "It's just not the same" she used to always say, not anymore !!
I did agree with her at first that it's not the same as open flame bbqing. But, after a few uses the grease buildup and sizzling added so much more "natural" BBQ flavor to every meal !! We both just love it so much and it's very convenient to have a BBQ that is always ready when you are !!
I was super hesitant at first about even cleaning the BBQ before storing it for the winter thinking it was going to be a pain. But Napoleon ®️ thought about that as well. The element and grill plates were really easy to remove and clean. Then I just oiled and re seasoned before storing for the winter. Now it's ready for spring !!

I was skeptical about this purchase - Was I surprised when used it for the first time! This unit not only heats up it sears, it works incredibly well. Hot Dogs - Scorched lines perfectly - the Steak, seared and cooked perfectly - the heat was even and so adjustable - easy to use - easy to clean. Since I live in a high-rise condo this was the perfect purchase - I recommend this unit to others - It works! The Price Point is perfect - you get what you pay for.

I am rating this as a one star because I'm disappointed in its performance. Initially, the BBQ did not get hotter than 300 degrees and loses heat when I put food on the grill. I contacted customer service who replaced the temperature fixture. Unfortunately the problem continues. I'm regretting my decision to purchase an electric grill instead of propane.

Works great but need help.

I had bought the Napoleon EQ electric grill.it always worked great but the last time I used it when I was finishing up I noticed the temp dropped suddenly I adjusted the controls and it wouldn't work.i tried it later and it wouldn't heat at all.the thermostat would light up but no heat to the grill.im thinking the element may have burned out but not sure

Pleasantly Surprised

With the limitations of a standard 120V outlet, I wasn't expecting an electric grill of this size to be useful. I'm pleasantly surprised to discover otherwise. For casual grilling this unit does not disappoint! It is proving to be a real boon in the winter; no need to spend extra time outside messing with fuel!
The unit is sturdy and the base solid. An electric element heats the cast iron grids; this limits temperature control, so be sure to use a probe for anything more demanding than burgers, sausages or hot dogs. As other reviewers have mentioned, it does need time to get up to temperature (15-20 minutes). The grill size is fine (see picture) unless you're cooking for a large group or trying to do a whole turkey.
If you don't want the hassle of propane or wood and you haven't got a natural gas hook up, I highly recommend one of these!

Not good at all

Takes forever to heat up. Cools down really fast when you open the lid or when you have meat on. Feels like the liquid in the meat is coolingen it down. The meat gets boiled. Not grilled. After 30 min on max with meat on it rea hed 170.

Takes time to heat up but works well

I bought this end of last summer for my condo. It takes a while to get to temp so I can understand the other review.
I have it sit for 20-30 minutes but once at temp it works great. If it heated up faster I would have given it 5 stars.
Living in a condo Electric was my only option once at temp it cooks the food great. Purchased a house this year and just waiting for my gas line to be installed before I move up to a Napoleon Gas Grill. I will be keeping this one as it is great side option.
