Motor failed twice in less than 2 years

We purchased this in August 2023. In the beginning we were pleased with it overall, very quiet like other say and seemed to be good quality. By early December, the motor failed, just stopped working one day out of the blue, cycles would run and no water was being moved around. Warranty covered the repairs for that and it went back to being as expected. Now, after a year and 4 months, the motor failed again. This repair will not be covered by warranty, since the part is only covered for 1 year and it's been conveniently too long. When did companies stop standing by their products, which are big investments for people, after only a year?? Should we simply treat all appliances as being disposable after a year now? Unfortunately we either got a major lemon, or this is a very poor quality machine and Whirlpool no longer builds quality appliances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
