Its a bit stiffer than expected. It depends on the type of pillow a friend might prefer.

I'll probably return the pillow, but it is too big and gives me neck pain. Its too thick and creates too much space between my neck and my bed. Its uncomfortable, I prefer my old down pillow more which is really sad.

I have neck issues and have struggled finding a pillow that is comfortable. So far this one is good. I would have preferred it just a little thicker. Still not sure about the mattress but it's only been a little over a week

My wife and I both love the pillow it's soft but still supporting and It doesn't get or stay compressed like the other foam pillows we have used

I Like the firmness I have been sleeping better my back feels rested when I wake in the morning I would give a higher score when I try this mattress out for a longer period of time

I'm a side sleeper and it compresses too much, or my tuft and needle mattress doesn't compress enough... one of the two
