I would give this mattress a 5 star rating except.... the mattress was ordered for my wife and after a week sleeping on it, she awoke each morning with lower back pain. I had my Tuft & Needle mattress going on 9 years so instead of sending it back I tried it and really liked it so we ended up keeping the new Mint mattress and giving the older Mint mattress to someone in need! My wife wanted a 1 star rating I wanted a 5 star rating so we settled.

I give 3 stars because I consider it average? I mean, we don't hate it at all, but it doesn't stick out in our minds as being "above and beyond". I mean: it's a solid mattress that we like and it met our expectations. If it disappointed us, I would have given 1 or 2 stars. If it would have blown us away, like if we would be thinking about sleeping on this mattress all day long, I would have given 4 or 5 stars. But it doesn't disappoint and it doesn't blow us away; it's just a good, solid, expectation-meeting mattress.
