I'm not sure how well the the protector will work against dust mites and bed bugs given that it doesn't completely enclose the mattress.

This cover/protector is very well made quality product. I sure liked the fact that it installed just like a fitted sheet and I didn't have to slide the mattress into it like the one this replaced.
