Soft but firm. My husband and I love it! We slept very well every night. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. We purchased the topper through one of our relative recommendation.

It seems to be helping with my husband's sore shoulders and my lame hip! I still have a painful hip, but turning over or shifting is not painful.
