It adds a nice layer of soft foam to the mattress on the sofa bed so you don't feel the bar. It doesn't prevent the sagging in the middle from the mattress on the sofa bed. This is a decent product if all you are looking to do is add an extra layer to prevent feeling the bar on the sofa bed. It's quite pricey for what you get.

Recently got married and moved in with my now husband after we got married. We bought furniture and a mattress from a big box store before we got married but neither of us tried it out except for in the store (for a few min only!) fast forward after wedding and honeymoon I kept waking up intermittently overnight hot and having back pain - our warranty expired so we could not return the mattress. A friend suggested Tuft and Needle for mattresses but since we just had this new mattress we ended up getting a topper which was just what we needed! So happy to not be uncomfortable and have a restful night of sleep !
