I placed this over a new 6" memory foam mattress that was on my RV when I bought it. I went from my back being painful enough to wake me up to no back pain. I dropped a star because, on a couple nights it felt like it was pulling heat out of me (my side on the mattress seemed cold, I was cold in general).
