It definitely softens the tuft and needle mattress we have. I got it primarily in hopes be of relieving knee pain. I am a stomach sleeper. It helps quite a bit. I used to have to sleep with my feet over the end to be comfortable, now I do not. The reason it is not 5 stars is that it slides around sometime moving 4 inches or more in a night. Easy to reposition but a nuisance. I put 2 thick towels between the topper and mattress to increase friction, probably a 50 percen improvement in movement. Yes the fitted sheets come off the corners but deeper sheets would fix that. Good purchase overall and Tuft and Needle is FiRST CLASS in service.

Very soft and welcoming, but it does get hot in the middle of the night, also slips an inch off the bed every night as well, until you get six inches and need to adjust it.

At the time of this review, we have had the topper for 2 months
The tuft and needle OOB mattress was great for me - I like a firm mattress - but it was causing my wife to lose sleep.
Adding the topper was exactly what we needed. It is still firm enough for me and I have found it to be very comfortable.
We have not had the issues of the pad sliding as others have reported. And you must prepare and buy the deep fitted sheets.

I love how comfortable it is and the value it has added to my mattress. My problem is that every day I have to remove everything from my bed to slide the topper back on to the mattress I can't get it to stay on and stay on properly.
