There was a smell to the mattress pad, but after washing it was fine. So far the mattress pad is great.

The problem in general is with fitted sheets AND the mattress protector. Neither of the two stay in pace and we end up with folds and wrinkles in the fitted sheet and protector after a nights sleep. Our old mattress did not have this issue and the lower sheets stayed in place and did not bunch up and move like they do on this mattress. Any suggestions?
