Hi there. Ordering and delivery was smooth and easy. Kudos for that! Regarding the actual mattress? It's honestly not exactly what we expected. We were going for that luxury hotel mattress feel and the Mint Mattress just doesn't cut it. We're looking at other mattresses/companies as we speak. We'd be open to staying with tuft and Needle if you have any suggestions, special offers to upgrade us? Let me know soon, because we're getting married in October and would like to experience that new luxury mattress feel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Firm, no edge support, not great for side sleepers

It's okay, only a month into sleeping on it so I don't think I've adjusted yet. Not much edge support -- if you sit on the edge of the bed it will completely sink, almost to the bottom of the mattress. But, laying on the mattress it is firm. I wanted something firm so it would eventually break in to my desired softness but not too cushy, since I'm a back sleeper -- not there yet. My partner is a side sleeper and says it forces them to roll on their front or back, so maybe not a great option for strictly side sleepers.

While the mattress is comfortable and does help with pressure on joints/joint pain, the claimed benefits of it being a cooling mattress do not hold up. My husband and I often wake up sweating because of the trapped heat.

Stiffer than expected. Nice firm support. Great with the topper of you like a little softer feel. 1st one we received was defective. Received replacement ,no hassle.
