Initially it felt very firm, but i had just come off a pillow top memory foam with no springs. So you sank in and was just snuggled to sleep. It took me about 2 weeks to realize the pillow angle difference between the old and new mattress. I was sleeping HORRIBLY and couldn't figure it out, guy at work said "hey, i bet your angles are off. try adding a second pillow, then a third. Your body is used to resting at a specific angle for the last 10 years."
I put a second pillow down and a few days later found the sweet spot. The bed feels great, a little firm for my taste but i sleep deep and wake up feeling great. As in "haven't sleep this great in years without knowing it" kind of sleep.
oh! and before i forget the coolness factor. The mattress has extra cooling stuff in it, not sure on what it's called, but i haven't woken up sweating in months. My old mattress would turn into a sauna after a couple hours. Perfect!
Unpacking was easy, i just barrel rolled it up the stairs. we tossed it on and left to go play D&D. By the time we got home it was ready to sleep. High recomendation.

Mattress is very firm, just how I like it. The outside material is very soft and comfortable. We live in AZ and noticed the mattress does keep hotter than we like. We got the TN mattress topper to soften up the mattress for my husband and noticed the topper does stay a little cooler..

Not only do we love our mattresses, but when I didn't love mine as much as my husband loved his (we have a split king bed), they took care of me by sending a free topper to make my side softer ... which was exactly what I needed. Tuft & Needle was recommended to me by a friend who is the pickiest person I know (and researches things to an extreme before buying), so when he told me to consider this brand for my mattress, I trusted him and I'm glad he did. It's the mattress for picky ppl!

Generally decent mattress, but the mattress is nothing extraordinary when compared to the cost. Coming from the original foam mattress brand this is good replacement and sleeps OK.
