I’ve slept on it for 5 weeks and its firmer than I thought it would be. I bought it because the mint is supposed to be good for side sleepers but I feel too much pressure on my shoulders and hips.

This is definitely a quality mattress with a quality company that has great customer service to back it up. We purchased a king size Mint to replace a first generation Queen sized Tempur-pedic which we absolutely loved, but it was at the end of it’s life and wanted to try something different that wasn’t as expensive. We did a lot of mattress testing and research and were impressed with the Mint’s ranking by Consumer Reports as well. It was extremely easy to unpack and set up, although two strong guys were needed to lift the box and carry up two flights. There was an initial odor after unpacking that I felt was a bit irritating for about 48 hours, but I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell and asthma and we did not give it time to breathe before putting bedding on it to go to sleep that night. My husband finds it incredibly comfortable (6’2”/195lb side sleeper) while I find that it is a bit firm on the pressure points/hips as a (5’3”/115lb) side sleeper with some lower back issues. I called customer care and they are sending out a topper which they believe will make this mattress a better fit for me. The snap-open king size box foundation is a game changer! Finally a sturdy, king size box frame that fits through a standard bedroom door that has incredible support top to bottom. This is a very comfortable mattress that I believe will be even more comfortable once I use a topper to get that “sink in”feeling.
