We currently sleep on a king size first generation Purple mattress but we are planning to but two more mattresses for our guest rooms. We bought this queen mattress for our second guest room. I’m a side sleeper and we opted to get the Mint because it was less firm than the original. and were hoping it was going to work for us. If this was acceptable, we would buy a King Mint and use our King Purple in the first guest bedroom. About 3.5 hours into the night I woke and my hips and shoulders were in pain. I returned to the Purple bed for the remainder of the night. The top of the Mint was soft on top but the underlying foam quickly became uncomfortable for me so it will remain our 2nd guest bed and we will purchase the Purple Hybrid and either use the original or the hybrid for our main bed. If you need a bed to ease the pressure for side sleeping, I would buy the Purple. Our guest have enjoyed the T&N Mint though.

I really wanted to like this mattress, but it is like sleeping on the floor. It has no give. The reviews I read described it as a 6 in firmness, but it is WAY more firm. If I only sleep on my back it is somewhat OK, but forget side sleeping if you do not want to wake up in pain. This is a great quality product with fantastic customer service so I really want to like it. I called to exercise the 100-day guarantee and they were great. The rep offered to send a topper at no cost and restart the 100-day guarantee. I took him up on the offer and will give it a try. I hope it fixes the comfort issue and I can update this review. This thing is really firm so avoid if you do not want a firm mattress.

We bought our first Mint mattress 2 years ago. It was a queen. It was strange at first, but soon gave us the best sleep we've had since being married. Since then we moved and upgraded to a king bed. We knew exactly what we were buying for our new home. My parents are also greatly appreciative for their "new" matress when they visit from out of town.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Heads up- this mattress is soft. It was not supportive under the back, and I had a lot of lower back pain. We returned after 30 days. The return process is very easy and I still really like the brand.
