I sleep well on the mattress and have no complaints up to this point, but I would not describe it as comfortable or cozy.

I chose 5 because, I think it is too soon to tell I have only been sleeping on the mattress/ and protector a little over a week. I will say with the protector over the mattress the sheet sets fit very snug, so that if a person were to add a Tuft & needle topper it would be impossible to fit the sheets over it.
