Not Great….

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second dock I’ve bought from Hyper and again there were issues. This one came with a defective port (smart card). Had to return, but the worst part is that it takes at least a week to get a reply from support and when you do they try to get out of taking responsibility for the product. Same thing happened when I bought the 4K Multi-Display Docking Station For 13”-16” MacBooks as part of the crowd fund on Indiegogo, and only got it resolved when I posted the problem on social media.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my Mac goes to sleep, and my monitor sleeps, waking up the mac does not wake up the display. This only happens when the display is plugged into the dock.
I have to unplug and plug the TB4 cable to correct it.

Color on displays not looking correct.

The hub provides many ports, and I like the form factor. There are many positives to this hub, but there is one issue that I have run into that I'm not a fan of. My 35" curved display looks bad if I use the Hub to feed it. I used a USB-C to DP adapter and plugged it into my mac, and the display looks great. If I use one of the USB-C outputs on the Hub, blacks get grey, and all the colors/display looks soft and not as vivid as when it's directly connected to the mac. If you are doing color-accurate work, I would look to other hubs. If you need ports with lots of bandwidth, then this is a fine hub.

It's the nicest, and most versatile, small and with all the ports that I need, I got it on special and I believe the price was perfect compared to others, this is just what I was looking for, I've been building my setup slowly and a Dock station was next on the list, so I researched until I bumped into this one, one that wouldn't break the bank.
I would recommend this to a friend!

LOTS of ports available. I have an external monitor, a wireless mouse transmitter, a usb software dongle, an ethernet line, a wired keyboard, a laptop to the main connection (which also charges the laptop), and two external hard drives. After all that - I still have one usb port open on the front which I use for thumb drives. And the card reader is available on the front too. It's worked perfectly for a year and I see no reason to suspect that it will fail on me any time soon.

Purchased the doc to work with my M1 MacBook Pro 16" to drive 2 5K Dell monitors at high resolution. As promised, works like a champ. Am ecstatic about how well the dock is working.

Dead within a month

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Barely a month and it’s already dead. How is that even possible? This is terrible the unit is connected to an APC Back-UPS XS 1500 that supplies it with clean power. I hope hyper can resolve this issue for me quickly.
