Our old pseudo induction cooktop's big burner died 5 years ago. We used a single one in its place for years. We finally decided to buy a new cooktop. This is the REAL DEAL. I love cooking with gas but haven't for 35 years until now. (Well kind of.) This stove heats up as fast as gas. It cools down as fast as gas. Functionality is easy. It's safe with the lock. Even if the pan is a little smaller than the burner, the perimeter that sticks out does not get hot. (Although you do need to use a pan close to the size or it'll tell you 'nuh uh'. When the pan is off, it shuts off automatically after a few seconds. (I DO turn it off, but it's still a good feature.) There's three different ways of adjusting the temp. I tell my husband every day how much I love this stovetop. I think he's jealous. I'd add a photo, but I can't seem to do it. Blame it on my boomer status...
We previously had an older model of induction cooktop with digital heat settings. This was much easier to adjust the temperature-the gray dial does not allow fine tuning-it jumps 4 notch’s with each touch. I am finding this feature very difficult and makes my cooking time experience frustrating
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It’s been broken from day one. Two elements inoperative.
