The handle on the side makes the width larger than14 inches. Removing the handle temporarily was required for carry-on size limit.

I am a return customer. This is a top-shelf softside pick from Samsonite, replacing my previous Samsonite set from 2011(still in very good condition, but wheels were showing wear). Color is great, spinner wheels on the large suitcase and carryon are superb, and multiple exterior compartments give easy access when quickly needed; and, the Stack-it feature allows easy singular rolling of selected luggage pieces whether for a quick weekend pack or for larger cruise packing. I bought the whole set for maximum Stack-it travel versatility: large suitcase, carryon, under seater, and structured duffle. In my opinion the softside design of this set is superior to hard side luggage because of the Stack-it feature and the many exterior zippered compartments, all excellently spacious and handy.

Just took this on it's first trip. Came away unscathed, which is a good sign. ;-) Like the smooth spinner and the feel of the handles. Very roomy, except the handle at the top seems to take up more interior space than I've noticed in other suitcases? The one thing we didn't like is that the expander only expands on three sides. Wish it went all the way around. But overall a good suitcase and we are pleased with the purchase.

SMOOTH rolling. The various inside (many removable) and outside pockets are great for organizing and packing. Some portions being made from recycled materials is a plus.
As has been mentioned this is slightly smaller than I'm used to for a carryon. It technically meets the dimensions published by Delta, United, and American. But my current Samsonite is one inch larger in all dimensions and that makes a surprising difference. As in, for me, this bag is probably limited to a 2-night stay. Current Samsonite "carry-on" I will often use for 3–4-night stays. I've never been challenged on the size and to be honest, I've seen larger bags as carry-ons.

I just received this. I already own a large Theorym spinner. A cat peed on it so I ordered this one. I managed to get the smell out of it by the day the new one arrived. But I have to say I like this one better than the Theorym because it has a zipper pocket that I have been missing, the mesh zipper pocket is removable and it has a removable liquid pack! This allows more flexibility to compartmentalize your packing. All these features the Theorym does not have. I am keeping it and only use the Theorym when visiting my daughter with the rogue cat! Also the slate color is really pretty.

This suitcase is perfect! It's a beautiful color and seems well made and it fit perfectly in the overhead bin on the airplane. It has a smooth glide and it's such an improvement from my last suitcase. So glad I decided to upgrade!

Luggage is nice size and was so excited to use on my first trip which I did however inside removable pocket already broke off on one side so I am a bit disappointed with the quality if already coming apart
