Protective...but looks gross.

I have dropped my phone multiple times with no damage to my phone. So in that aspect.. its doing its job. But after a couple months of owning the case, I noticed it looking horribly dirty on the sides. I tried cleaning it with no results. I learned to live with it because I can't afford to spend money on another case when this one technically still functions properly. I love the symmetry series but have learned my lesson with the clear cases and will get a dark case from now on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the brand. Had many of they're cases and they all fits and protect my phone perfect.
However this last one I bought. Seems to be a bit deformed at the bottom. No big deal but not a perfect fit.
Again. I think this is a great brand and I'll keep buying from them.

I bought this for my wifes phone and she wasn't impressed saying its doesnt look any different then the cheap one she had before except harder. I was hard to get it on the phone because it didn't give any. So we ended up throwing it in a drawer and ordered the defender series case for it.
