Working as hoped

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lock is a nice looking simple design that was easy to install and no harder to connect to Alexa than other devices. The phone app works and is nice to have. There have been a couple times the finger reader hasn't worked and if you are looking for high end security, you probably want a better interior lock. Overall though, its great for what it is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this lock it is so convenient to not have to have keys in my hand when I approach the door. Installation was a little challenging but I was able to get through it. The lock is extremely convenient and I love the fact that I don’t have to have keys to get in my house anymore but I have that option if I want to use a keyed entry. I would highly recommend this and I’m going to be purchasing another one for other doors in my home. This is very much a convenience that is very helpful for day-to-day activities.

Easy to install and use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box you can tell the quality of the hardware is top notch. Additionally, it was really simple to install. The fingerprint reader is very impressive. As soon as your finger touches, it unlocks. Connecting to the app was easy and I love the restrictions and notifications you can enable with it. Would definitely recommend this to somebody looking for a smart lock.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though I’m connected to Bluetooth, app says that I am not. Will not allow me to setup fingerprints.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're happy to help you with this. To ensure the Kwikset app connects to the lock in Bluetooth range, please follow these steps.
1. For iOS, go to your phone's settings screen and find the Kwikset app, turn on Bluetooth for the app.
2. Ensure that you are the only user logged into your app account.
3. To reset and repair through Bluetooth, remove the lock from your phone's Bluetooth list, then repair it to the app when you are near the lock.
After following these steps, program your fingerprints. Should you need any additional assistance, please give our Support Team a call at 1-800-327-5625.

Neat in concept; replacing after only 4 months

I've had this lock installed for 4 months.
In that time, I've changed the batteries 3 times. I've written to Schlage customer support and tried all of the tricks to improve battery life, and none have worked. It's effortless to turn the deadbolt manually, so the door is aligned.
Further, the fingerprint recognition is very picky (a good thing), but it requires near-perfect placement of ones finger on the pad for it to activate. Even worse, when I return home from a run (and I'm perspiring, as humans do), it almost never recognizes my sweaty fingerprint, so I have to open with the app. So yes, it's neat in concept, but its execution needs more thought. I simply don't have the patience to run through a mental troubleshooting list each time I want to unlock my door.
This lock will be replaced by the keypad Schlage I had previously.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery drain!
