Amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a cool device! Who would've thought we would have this option in 2021. It has an amazing fingerprint unlock that is accessible and easy to manage. We cna store up to I believe 50 fingerprints too which is really nice so we didnt have to hand out any keys! It's very modern looking and definitely adds some value to our home, and a sense of added security.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Innovative door lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Kwikset products, all of my door handles in my house are from this brand. So I was very intrigued when I heard about a Wi-Fi Enabled Smart Lock for your front door. I asked my handy neighbor guy for help in installing this for me. He really liked that when we opened the box all the parts and pieces are in their own separate little boxes and clearly labeled so he knew what went where. He was able to get this fully installed in under an hour. The part the took the longest was getting it hooked up to the home Wi-Fi and then setting up the fingerprints. (that was the reason for my 4 star rating) My 14 year old and I both programmed our prints. This will come in very handy when she wants to go somewhere and I won't have to worry about her being locked out while I am at work. I think I am also going to enable my neighbors fingerprint so that if someone needed to get in the house in case of an emergency they could get in.
The app is very easy to use and install for locking the home if you happened to not remember if you locked the doors.
I also love the deadbolt feature. I am happy this is part of the locking system. I was able to keep my prior deadbolt also so now feel protected with 2 deadbolts. Overall so far this has been a great, innovative feature to add to our home.

Convenient and User-friendly

I have had this product for over 3 years, and it has been rock-solid. I love being able to lock with a touch and unlock with a fingerprint and fallback to a key, just in case. I loaded my kids' prints in the lock and they can come and go as needed (plus I can see when they do ;) ). I have to change the batteries every 4 weeks or so, but that's no big deal to me. Just bought some rechargeables and swap them out. The one thing that is important is ensuring that you line the strike plate with the deadbolt as perfectly as possible. If it rubs against the lock when unlocking and locking, it can really reduce battery life since the motor works harder to lock; and the extra strain will likely reduce the lock's life.

No Apple HomeKit

Unreliable!

I bought one of these and liked it so much I bought a second. At first, they were great. Then after a couple of months, they started "forgetting" the thumbprint signatures. A couple of firmware updates came out, installed them fine, but that failed to correct the issue. Older people, like my wife and I, have lower contrast fingerprints. Any moisture at all, or any dirt or dust on your hands--like when you really need to get inside and the weather has drenched you, forget the prints and dig out the keys--if you have them handy. It wasn't just us, my 10 year old grandson had issues, too. I am a real fan of Kwikset--I have 5 doors full of them--but this lock is a design failure, in my opinion. Pulled them off my doors and bought Kwikset locks with number pads. Lost the smart wifi feature, which was nice, but won't get locked out again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is also so pretty. I love the color and finish and it goes well with my door. The touch smart lock feature is so great for the whole family. It really gives me piece of mind!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very pleased with my new Halo Touch Traditional Fingerprint Wi-Fi Enabled Smart Lock. It looks great and is very secure. Installation was easy as was downloading and using the app. I found the app is be simple to use. Love that you have different ways to operate this lock. The fingerprint option is my favorite. The system stores up to 250 codes so you can assign each family member their own code. If you prefer you can use a key and relaying is also very simple. I feel much safer knowing my home is protected with this quality sturdy lock. It's my belief that nobody is getting through my door with previously being coded in or owning a key.
