Beautiful and Well-Built Machine

I upgraded from the Gen 1, and while I don't know that the upgrade is incredibly substantial, I'm super happy with the Gen 2. I loved the look and compact form factor both, and the industrial design seems incredibly solid. Upgrading to a new Gen 2 from a used Gen 1, I'm amazed at how quiet it is. Definitely a great grinder for people who are into pourover coffee, but haven't gone all the way down the espresso rabbit hole. It looks gorgeous next to my Aiden.

So happy I bought this. Quality, refinement, ease of use, all aspects are perfect! I was using a Rancillio Rocky previously and while it was well built it didn't have the refinement of the Ode. This purchase makes my coffee pour over ritual so much more enjoyable.

Unfortunately, I have made my way through multiple grinders (previous brands). We use daily. This grinder is a God send. It grinds precisely, quietly, and without any static mess.

Quiet with many settings to choose from. Not as neat as I would like. Some coffee grounds still leak from the grinder.

Used with my Moccamaster. Grind makes a very clean cup of coffee but it lacked depth. I’m going to exchange for the Opus as I think the conical brings out a better complex finish. The flat burrs made a cup that had a flat finish which was worse than my Oxo conical that I was trying to upgrade from.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
