We really wanted a grinder with replaceable burrs and love the look and design of this grinder. Super quiet. The beans grind perfectly every time for a consistent delicious cup of coffee time over time and are able to adapt/adjust by size of cup easier.

Good grinder

Been waiting a while to get this grinder and over all it’s worked out fine, but I was a little disappointed on the fit of both the front plate and the grind size dial/ wheel. They are both a bit loose and it leads me to believe that the dial over time will not last. I’ll need to take it apart and make sure there isn’t some sort of fitting loose. Other than that I’m able to get good grind consistency, although I have to move the dial to a coarser than expected setting to reach an appropriate pour over size.

Massive upgrade over Baratza Encore

The Fellow Ode 2 grinder is a stylish workhorse that does exactly what I need and does it well. It's relatively quiet, has low retention, and is a great housing for the SSP burrs. I typically grind 50g of beans at a time for pour-over, which this grinder handles beautifully. The SSP burrs themselves produce very flavorful coffee on the sweeter side which matches my preferences perfectly. This machine + burr combo is in another realm from the Baratza Encore I upgraded from.

Beautiful and Well-Built Machine

I upgraded from the Gen 1, and while I don't know that the upgrade is incredibly substantial, I'm super happy with the Gen 2. I loved the look and compact form factor both, and the industrial design seems incredibly solid. Upgrading to a new Gen 2 from a used Gen 1, I'm amazed at how quiet it is. Definitely a great grinder for people who are into pourover coffee, but haven't gone all the way down the espresso rabbit hole. It looks gorgeous next to my Aiden.
