i didn't want to install gen2 burrs myself and didn't need SSP for fine grinding, so I waited until the gen 2 was available. It has really met my expectations. Sooo much better than using a blade grinder and filtering out the fines for a French press. It hurts to think of all the beans I have ruined while waiting. No detectable fines at all in the gen 2

The New Boss of Coffee Corner.

I have been eyeing this bad girl since its first day on the market. It grinds quieter than our last grinder, and the grinds are even and clean--producing no fines, and there is no mess left on the counter for bean sheds.
Our pour-over coffee now tastes clean and balanced with a brighter finish. I am happy with the purchase and hope it continues to live up to these standards for many years.

Fantastic first grinder

We've been talked into upping our coffee game by our high taste friends, and so I purchased the same grinder sitting on their counters. I cannot compare to lesser products, as it is my first grinder period, but it is one sexy, thoughtfully designed, easy to use product. Hopefully holds up for many years to come. I do appreciate the larger hopper vs friends' gen 1, as I don't want to wake the whole house every morning. Filling the hopper gets me several days of French press grind. I know, the horror. Still way fresher than I'm used to.

have 2 odes already but seduced by prospect of the ssp upgradel.Whoa wat a breakthrough flavors so clear and orderly bright and deep was on finest setting on the original ode no need on this beauty i'm at 5 setting mostly. The retention present on the original now minimal too .True coffee lovers listen-you will not be disappointed. Another home run by Ode

It seems Fellow listened to all the input from customers. The ode 2 Grinds light roast perfectly, there is zero static, and the hopper will hold 100 grams. It’ still super quiet, quick, compact, and beautiful.
