Worst cooler ever!

I was told this cooler keeps ice retention for up to5 days!???? I don’t even get 24 hours of ice retention in mine and it’s indoors! My husband thinks they actually forgot to insulate this one ! Put ice blocks in it and it got a hole on bottom! Wth! Have only used this cooler for 2 months. Terrible pictures show 4-6” deep water because 2 ice blocks completely melted within 20 HOURS
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Trouble

I bought mine last summer and have had nothing but problems with it ever since. The screws in the lid came out and they do not go back in. The plug kept unscrewing and flooding my van, grrr
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor construction, good materials

Cooler stays cold but the screws holding the hinges backed out and the lid failed. Also, the rubber latch receptacles attached to the body of the cooler tend to lift out of their brackets also causing lid failure. Terrible design actually, but the walls and lid appear to be constructed of materials and functional. BUT, the hardware keeping it all together needs serious improvements.

I was very disappointed to spend that much on a cooler for ice to only last a day on the back of a truck with a truck bed cover over the cooler. We will continue spending the extra money on the bigger brand coolers.

Excellent Cooler - 7 Day Ice

I've used this for field work for a year and am so impressed for the price. If you use block ice and keep this out of the sun, you can have ice for 7 days. I just finished a trip in 90 degree heat and made it to Day 7 and had 20% ice left the last night.
I use 64oz cranberry juice bottles for ice blocks and a custom cut EVA foam pad above the ice. Remember to cool the cooler down before loading it. If you freeze half your food it will be ready to go by the second half of your trip. No need to spend money on a Yeti. Definitely buy white one, you will trip over the grey one in the dark.

Epic disappointment

I purchased the BMX 52 igloo Cooler I’ve had it for five months now at the beginning I was excited because every igloo cooler I’ve had has outlasted me wanting to use it. In this amount of time of daily light use the lid has detached completely from the hinges. This cooler sits in one spot in the back of a truck it gets open daily drained and filled. The screws completely pulled out of the lid I am beyond disappointed with the quality and careless design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Hinge Construction

I purchased this cooler new and after two uses the screws that connect the hinges to the cooler lid popped out. Very very poor design

Cooler looks. Good, but one of the rubber latches broke the time we used it. I called igloo, and they said the latches weren't currently available, though you can buy them on line.
