Great product at a great price! My husband had a small igloo and was so impressed with it, we bought two 52qt BMX’s for camping! We are going to save a lot of money because we don’t have to buy so much ice!

Survived a Black Bear Attack!

We shopped around for a durable, long lasting cooler for awhile. We seriously considered going with a much more expensive competitor cooler but ultimately decided on the BMX 52 Qt. Cooler. Our beautiful blue girl came in Monday and we were off to the mountains that same Thursday to camp. We packed her full of marinating chicken, lunchmeat, sausages, veggies, beer and multiple bags of ice to keep everything nice and cold. Saturday night as we were sitting by our neighbors fire and we hear rustling on our site. Come to find out a 300lb black bear was dragging our Igloo cooler into the woods! Immediately I thought our food was gone, no way he wasn't tearing open that cooler. She's definitely got some teeth marks and claw marks now, but the latch closures were so tight and sturdy it was no match for this bear! We were there for two more days, and even with teeth punctures on the top, all of our food stayed ice cold!
Bravo, Igloo! So durable and so well built that a 300lb black bear was no match! I will show off my new "decorated" cooler whenever I can and will forever recommend Igloo to everyone!

Trouble

I bought mine last summer and have had nothing but problems with it ever since. The screws in the lid came out and they do not go back in. The plug kept unscrewing and flooding my van, grrr
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not built to last long.

I wouldn't recommend this cooler. It is marketed as a long lasting cooler. However, the hinges are screwed into the soft plastic lid. This cooler will not last long. I bought this thinking it was going to be strong and I am sadly disappointed. Currently working with warranty on the next steps.
