Pretty bookshelf, assembly unexpectedly tricky

Pretty easy to put together, EXCEPT the dowels went freely into the holes (no hammer required). This meant the pieces wouldn't stay secure to each other while other pieces were attached, I had to use long clamps to hold them (which fortunately I had in my garage). I finally got it together by myself (took about two hours with several cussing breaks).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very pretty and functional

The only thing I didn’t like about this piece is the backing. Instead of one or two large pieces to cover the back there’s 5 pieces that don’t have pre drilled holes or match up very well where the wood is. Difficult to place without splitting the wood.
