Delicious Coffee and Easy Clean up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Love this French press! A delicious brew of coffee for my iced coffee drink and ready to go in the fridge in 5 minutes. The groundslifter makes clean up so simple. My old French press required a spatula to scrape around the glass container but this one just requires a lift and a compacted mass of coffee goes right into my compost. If the coffee isn’t coarse ground,a filter might be needed when decanting the coffee ( personal experience!). A similar French press to most but the groundslifter is a game changer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time using a french press coffee maker. I decided to brew the max 8 cups of coffee. It is easy to figure out and use. First I added in the ground coffee onto the silicon press container. Drop it into the glass carafe. Then I added hot water just on top of the coffee slowly. During this time I wait upto 4 minutes for a stronger brew. It is nice to be able to control how long you can let it steep for. After waiting all I had to do is secure the cap then press down firm and slow until the whole piece touches through the carafe. It is so simple to pour the coffee through the side filter of the pitcher and done. It is a fast process to clean up the carafe as well. The handle is sturdy and well designed to lift out the grounds and dump out. Quick to use and quick to clean up! Love this new coffee option!

Easy to use and clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sent this to try and love it. I have another French press and it work just fine but cleaning it is such a pain. The OXO one comes apart so easy and all the pieces come apart nicely so no water or coffee gets trapped in it. As far as using it, it was really easy. The strainer works great and I had no coffee grounds in my coffee. Aside from putting too much water in the first time and spilling coffee everywhere I really like it and will continue to use it. It makes the perfect amount in the morning for my husband and I.

Clean up a breeze!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is every bit as good as any French Press coffee maker that I've owned. One feature that sets it apart is the grounds "catcher". With that being said, I still have a few grounds "seeping" through causing the coffee to have some sediment. It's great quality and very sturdy. And pulling out the grounds makes for a much easier clean up.

The handle is comfortable and the filter does its job, works perfectly with the lift-out bottom and so easy to clean. Coffee tastes great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the 8 Cup French Press for a few weeks now, and I honestly love it! I have used several different types and brands of French press coffee makers over the years and I am really super impressed with this one. Here are the things I love about it :
- It feels solid! As soon as I took it out of the box, I was impressed with the feel of it. I love the OXO grippy handle. It allows you to have a good hold on it.

- The amount of metal coverage around the glass. Yes, you can still bang the glass on something in your dish drainer, but there is significantly more protection on this pot than most other glass presses I have seen or used.
- I love the Grounds Lifter! This nifty gadget definitely makes getting the grounds out of the pot much faster, although it does not completely get all of them. You don't have to shake the pot over the garbage any more. A few errant grounds going down the drain is nothing to worry about.
There are two things that I'd like to see improved on this pot if ever any updates are made on it:
-Since this pot is an 8 cup and I sometimes don't want that much coffee, I'd love if there were measurement lines so that I could change the amount of water I pour in. I know that I can estimate the water by sight, but I find that the coffee comes out better with more precise measuring.

- Because the Grounds Lifter has a tab that hangs over the edge of the glass and through a notch in the lid, it is not possible to spin the lid around in order to close the pour spout. To me, this was a huge oversight as the pour spout remaining open leads to the coffee cooling faster and we all know that we want coffee to stay hot.
I wrap a heavy dish towel around the pot in order to seal in the heat.

Overall, I think this is a great French Press! I love the feel of it and it is well made. The Grounds Lifter is definitely a great feature, too.

Great concept

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Conceptually this is a great idea. Overall the design is good......coffee stays hot and parts are easy to disassemble for clean up. You scoop all the grinds out with the insert. The inherent issue is that the grinds mix with the coffee. Perhaps the coffee grinds weren't coarse enough? You just have to be careful about disturbing the grinds and not using too fine coffee grinds. Flavor is good and quality is great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the 8 cup French Press Coffee Maker for a couple weeks. It is a good coffee maker. It took a few tries to find the perfect grind and amount of coffee. The grounds lifter is a wonderful addition to the French press as I don't have to try to scoop the grounds out of the bottom of the carafe. The stainless steel sleeve helps protect the glass. I only wish it acted as insulation to the carafe. My only complaint is just that, the glass carafe is not insulated so the coffee doesn't stay hot long enough.
