not hot enough

Coffee is not hot enough initially and cools off quickly to warm in the thermos . I shouldn't have to microwave my coffee for a hot cup. Very disappointed

Silicone-flavored coffee

After cleaning each part with soap and water and running a brew cycle with water, the coffee tastes with silicone. I tried 4 times and the last two times I compared the result with the same beans and grinds-to-water ratio brewed using a V60 and the coffee brewed with the OXO was "plain bad" in comparison. I wanted to like this machine for the price and simple design, but the silicone parts need to go.

Inferior Quality

Unfortunately, OXO has fallen victim to the same thing as many manufacturers: the quality of the parts is inferior to the way they used to be made. I bought this to replace our old one which finally died after 9 years of great use. This one is made with noticeably cheaper plastics; the button feels flimsier, the lids are flimsier, etc, but more importantly: the very first pot of coffee we brewed, it just stopped with 2 more cups of water left. When we contacted OXO they said to send a video and some other information, and thankfully it didn’t malfunction again since then, but I have no doubt this new coffee pot will NOT last the same 9 years as its successor. It still is a good machine and better than other similar style coffee makers, but OXO should be ashamed at themselves for charging the same premium prices for inferior quality products.

9 cup coffee maker.

I had already purchased one several years ago and thought it made the best coffee, so I purchased one for my Grandson as a wedding gift along with the burr grinder, and he’s been very impressed with the improved taste of his coffee using the same beans.
