Would have preferred a larger

Would have preferred a larger capacity, i.e., 12 cups. Also, OXO brand descaler is unreasonably expensive.

Down not to deep, there is little difference among run of the mill coffeemakers save one. The OXO 9-cup coffee maker if the best engineered coffee maker on the market. Once you read the Owner’s manual, you will understand my statement completely.

Customer service was very good

Customer service was very good , replaced the first one that failed to stop flow when removing carafe before completely brewed. However even the replacement is finicky, drips and makes a mess sometimes unless super careful putting in the basket. I expected it to be much better for the price

Can't handle a lot of

Can't handle a lot of fine-ground coffee. Stick with 2-4 cups.

Best home brewer

This is hands down the best home brewer I’ve had. The factory recommended amount of grounds to water is quite high for my taste, but once I had it dialed it makes a great cup of coffee. The price point is affordable when compared to similar types of brewers. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a better cup of coffee over the standard brewer.
Pros: easy to clean, metal insulated craft, no warming plate, simple controls, price.

Works great

We were looking for a high quality brewer to make things a bit easier in the morning. After seeing James Hoffman's review, we decided to purchase this. Makes good coffee, not quite the same as our normal pour over, but that's to be expected. We especially love the carafe and the timing function for ease of use.

Good coffee made easy

I was trying not to be a snob but I was very pleased with my French press. Then I read about this coffee maker and I decided to treat myself for something new. Well both ways of making coffee are good but this is a bit more convenient. Set it up tonight before, but fresh coffee in the morning and go put on my clothes. Come back to a really good cup. Takes a little practice to get the right mix of water and coffee quantity but I think I found it. I'm taking it not a family vacation this weekend so my kids and extended family can enjoy it

coffee lid holds water

I was excited about this coffee maker, it's sleek design, etc. However, I am very disappointed with how the coffee lid holds water. I took the silicone mixing tube off to wash that and the lid and discovered that the lid holds water. You can shake the lid and hear the water inside it ... soapy water, no less, because I had washed it! This seems to be a major design flaw.
