[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the design and the lovely sleek modern looking appeal that this coffee maker gives my kitchen. It is so easy to use with a good working timer so I have a cup of coffee when I awake in the morning. I really enjoy that I can have a cup of coffee without the grounds in my drink most likely due to the cone rain maker design and technology. The only thing that would be bad about this coffee maker is the size, it's not small and would be hard to place or store in a small kitchen others it's very well made, solid , strong quite durable .

Great tasting coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this coffee maker for over a month. I love that it makes up to 9 cups of coffee. I love that it has the digital timer and can alternate between 2-4 cups or 5-9 cups. The design is beautiful. It’s a very beautiful coffee maker. I dislike that it doesn’t always make 2-4 cups but instead 5-9 cups when instructed to do so.. I also dislike that the coffee doesn’t stay hot or warm. But overall this coffee maker is a hit in my household it makes brews great tasting coffee. I practically use this thing every single day.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The most beautiful coffee maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this coffee maker for 3 weeks now and it's grown on me. I tested the machine in 4 stages:
1. First, I hand-washed all the removable parts with water to get rid of any remaining factory residue. I made my first batch of coffee after running the water reservoir at "MAX" as per the instructions. I tasted an unpleasant plastic smell in the coffee.
2. For the next few days, I hand-washed all the removable parts with soapy water including the shower head, brew basket, carafe and the mixing tube, which had a particularly strong plastic smell. I let the mixing tube sit in the soapy water for a few hours. I rinsed them with hot water and air dried them all completely. I still experienced the plastic smell. I continued to wash and air-dry the parts prior to every brew, believing that the unpleasant odor would dissipate with each use. I also decided not to use the mixing tube anymore after its unpleasant odor persisted.
3. At week 3, I noticed the plastic smell has decreased significantly. The unpleasantness sharply decreased after I stopped using the brown coffee filters included with the product and instead started using oxygen cleansed white paper filters. At this point, I am confident to serve a group of people some cups of coffee from OXO 9-Cup Coffee Maker.
4. Comparison: Following the use of the new filter paper and the removal of the mixing tube from the carafe, I made some cups of coffee from OXO 9-Cup Coffee Maker and compared them with coffee brewed from a ceramic dripping brewer. Conditions: same ceramic burr hand grinder, same single origin beans, same water source and water temperature. I put the labels at the bottom of the cups, mixed up the cup positions and then tasted them. I neutralized my palate by sipping the cool water before sipping each of the coffee. Results:
* The color of the coffee from OXO was darker then my ceramic dripping brewer. (See photos: I switched places of the cups to make sure the light angles will not affect the shades of the coffee)
* The taste (of both) was nice and clean.
* I can still distinguish the minor plastic smell that came from OXO Coffee Maker

CONCLUSION:
Such a unique design! This is the most beautiful coffee maker I’ve seen. I love the single dial with LED backlit screen and the shiny carafe. The plastic smell created from the mixing tube remains the only concern, however it went away after a few weeks, in my case, I stopped using it. I would recommend this product for both convenience sake and its great output.

Perfect coffee maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how easy it was to put this coffee maker together and start using it. It is very easy to take things apart to get them clean. It's also very easy and simple to utilize this coffee maker. That is so important to me. I find that so many things have way too many buttons and options that they become complicated. That is not the case with this coffee maker. It does an amazing job of keeping my coffee warm and allows me to choose how much or how little coffee I want to make each time. This keeps me from wasting coffee. I really love the sleek design of this coffee maker. It looks great on my countertop and blends right in. This is definitely made of good quality and I would recommend it due to how good of a job it does making the coffee but also because of how simple and easy it is to use.

Beautiful Coffee maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the oxo 9 cup coffee maker to be aesthetically pleasing. It has a sleek design that goes with almost any decor. It looks absolutely gorgeous sitting in my kitchen. It is also the first coffee maker I own with a digital clock display. This is both a pro and a con. I like that it keeps me on track before heading to work however I find it a nuisance that I have to reset the clock every time the coffee maker is unplugged.
Regarding the coffee brewing itself, this coffee maker is excellent. It brews the coffee at a consistent temperature and the carafe keeps it nice and warm. Watching the coffee brew is also a bit entertaining as you watch the water move up from one chamber to another.

An impressive looking coffee maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this coffee maker and apparently, it was delivered when I was out of town over the Thanksgiving holidays. My neighbor picked it up and forgot to tell me that he had it! I kept wondering why I hadn’t received it, as I received no notification that it had been delivered! After another trip out of town, he finally came over with a big box. My OXO coffee maker! When I opened the very well packaged box, my first thought was, “This is a huge coffee maker!” My second thought was, “This is a great looking coffee maker!” The instructions rfor set up and how to use were very clear. After washing all the parts and pieces, I ran nine cups of water through the coffee maker - three times with fresh, filtered water each time. I have not used the timer feature because I like the process of grinding fresh coffee in the morning and going through the ritual of making coffee. However, guests would be delighted to wake to coffee brewed from this coffee maker. I ran several cups of filtered water through the coffee maker to wet the filter and heat up the insulated carafe. After adding coffee to the filter and after emptying the plain water from the carafe, I brewed my first pot of coffee. The coffee brewed quite quickly, was hot enough, and was a great brew taste wise! It was equal to a good pour over without any bitterness. I let the carafe sit for several minutes before I removed it to pour a cup, and there was no dripping from the brew basket. The carafe pours beautifully! However, when I opened both lids (water side and brew side), water streamed down from the lids back into the water supply and brew side. After removing the filter/coffee grounds, I turned the entire coffee maker over the sink to remove the remaining water. After wiping down the lids, I used small OXO bag clips to keep the lids open so the moisture could dissipate. It’s easy to clean this coffee maker. I haven’t had it long enough to have to descale it, and I do use filtered water. When I saw how large this coffee maker was, I didn’t think I would use it for just a couple of cups of coffee. I was wrong! It’s really easy to make two cups or nine cups. It’s a very impressive looking coffee maker!

Makes excellent coffee and looks great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This OXO coffee maker makes coffee as good as my pour-over filter but with increased ease and flexibility. The 9-cup capacity allows me to make more than one serving at a time and the stainless steel carafe keeps the coffee hot without a heating plate that burns the coffee. The dispersion of the water is even and the SCA certification confirms that the water temperature is correct for the best possible brew. This is now my everyday coffee machine and I am satisfied with the coffee quality.
The machine itself has an attractive modern design that fits well into the kitchen or dining area. The control is pretty intuitive and easy to set and use. It is programmable to brew at a future time. I love the carafe, it's durable and keeps the coffee hot for a long time.
