These really are fantastic. When I think about how much we pay at a salon for a blow out/style, seems crazy when I can get that look so quickly at home. They don't damage hair and once you figure out how to get your best 'roll' pattern, it's roll, clip and then go do your makeup or tidy up, and then I unroll and voila! Hair is gorgeous and done. I prefer this method to high heat implement, as it's less damaging and you can use them more often. I have the older version but like these new ones even better. Really happy with this purchase - such good hot rollers! Highly recommend!
The hot rollers are great if you have long hair and want temporary volume. Unfortunately, the rollers do not get hot enough to leave your hair with a lasting curl.
The very first time I used these rollers, the clip snapped in half about 10 minutes into me lounging around waiting for them to cool. It was a bummer because they're so pretty and I had heard such good things. Had to return them the next day.
Since I have a toddler, I don't want to spend 30 minutes blow drying my hair. It's loud and keeps me away from my family or makes me get up earlier. So I had just been air drying before this (with a little product to smooth the finish). With these rollers, I put them in my in about 5-6 minutes (and I am getting faster with practice) and then I can sit and have my coffee and eat breakfast with everyone but still like my look. The look is great for me. I have fine, but thick hair below my shoulders. I didn't need more rollers, as long as I follow the guide book included. Reading this makes a big difference. These curlers are not like the plastic top Conair box with metal rods - you know the old spiky plastic curlers that every 80s and early 90s teen had! I don't get tight, ringlet curls thatstay for 1-2 days, but look unnatural (volume at the sides is poofy) & like you're "dressed up". This set gives lift at crown and a gentle, pretty wave like you just had a blow out. Like something looks different and more polished, but you don't look like you curled your hair. It was just what I wanted - bouncy loose curls with volume and looks polished, but not a lot of effort. If you're doing an updo it holds nicely for these too. Just follow the guidebook - makes a big difference where you place the roller and roll the hair forward a bit for the middle section. Not five stars because the clips might break - I can see they are really light weight and thin which is nice while on your head but I am carefully pinching them in the middle so they don't break. I have used for three to four weeks nearly daily. The set is small and I usually keep on counter. I am loving having these!!
