Ridiculously Well Engineered and Useful

One of the coolest purchase I’ve made in years. Pure engineering mastery - ball head has perfect tension (and can be adjusted), legs have ample length to prevent tipping, and the magnetic system allows great flexibility (pop it on, take it off, use it horizontally or vertically, as a kickstand or tripod, the list goes on). It does add a bit of heft to the phone, but I frequently get blown-away reactions and think it’s absolutely worth its weight!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Long term issues, not worth it

I love this tripod and I was so exited when I got it. But !!!! After a couple of months of use the rubber tips started to break until they fell off completely. This is terrible and it makes the tripos useless. I did get a warranty and they replace it, but even with the new one Im starting to see that I happens again. I don't recommend this product at all until they fix this issue or get spare parts of rubber in the package.

Doesn’t lock into the slim link connector

You have an amazing feature in your slimlock tech. All of your mobile product should utilize this proprietary tech you have otherwise what’s your competitive advantage? I bought your iPhone case ONLY because of the proprietary tech yet you don’t offer enough accessories to utilize this amazing feature. You have such an advantage…..use your tech!!!

A good start, but could be even better!

For everything you would expect and need this tripod to do; it is awesome. It's built like a tank, easy to deploy and put away. I understand using magsafe for those who dont have the new peakdesign case and the new slim link feature. However, I view peakdesign as photography centered company. I have the new phone case and this tripod. I also usually carry my sony A7C with capture clip. Could you design geniuses over at peak design somehow integrate your mobile creator mount and this tripod together into one. Where it can tripod my phone (slim link), tripod my camera(capture clip), AND either my phone or camera can be capture clipped. That would be an awesome upgrade to this.

Great little thing

The little tripod feels good, is stable and super practical. I love it! The only catch is that it makes the smartphone much heavier. And if you also have the wallet for the mobile case, the whole thing becomes very thick at some point. But you can actually hang both on the case at the same time. The magnets are strong enough. In practice, however, you will probably take either the tripod or the wallet with you. The price is quite high, though. If I hadn't bought it at a discount on Kickstarter together with the case, I probably wouldn't have spent so much money on it - even though it's a great product that I can't really fault. I use it every day. Love it!

Doesn’t really work for a common use case

Long time fan of Peak Design products, and as expected, this is a very well engineered (and compact) tripod. Unfortunately, it doesn’t do its job particularly well. The attachment to my iPhone 14 is good, but not great. The bigger problem is that it’s very very difficult to position this tripod such that the front camera can angle upwards - which is one of the main positions you’d want it to be in. There just isn’t enough room under the ball head (and this is without a phone case). If you angle it back far enough the magnetic attachment will come loose but the bottom of the phone will be held in place by the angle of the bottom of the stand - which works, but isn’t particularly stable. I feel like some slightly different design choices would have made this an absolutely killer tripod but as it is, I’d save the money and get something much cheaper.

Solid and surprisingly useful... but

I dove into the entire Kickstarter Mobile package. Finally got everything and WOW... what a fantastic product line. I'll review the other components later... but for now the Mobile Tripod is 100% worth the investment. However, my 4 start is really only because while it's attached (magnetically) it won't charge on the wireless charger (another Peak Mobile product). No biggy... but hey guys, if you could make it that simple... well I've got another star waiting for you :)

Cool Toy

I know I will get very little use out of this product because I do not take many photos. However, I think it will become handy when I start traveling more. That being said, I really like the design and the way it folds up to fit nicely into a pocket along with the phone. However, I almost always have my magsafe wallet attached to my phone when I go outside, so if the two were to be competing for a spot next to my phone, the wallet would definitely win over this guy. The reason I still give it a 4/5 stars is because I would not carry a magsafe wallet while traveling, so this tripod could always be carried together with the phone.
