The tripod is well thought out with equal quality construction. I have not had an opportunity to use it in the field. It does add a little more weight to the phone than I like, however that is not a showstopper.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very well built, excellent functionality. BUT, two issues. First, the phone doesn't lay flat on a table with the tripod attached but closed. Second, WAY too heavy to leave on the case all day. Could you offer a new version machined/molded from a lightweight engineered plastic, like a liquid crystal polymer?

Usually, when I want a tripod I don't have one, but this solves that problem. It's simple to use and it makes taking long-exposure photos and selfies so much easier.
