I have always purchased Dell computers. My last Dell laptop had to be shipped back to the factory FOUR times!!! This is my first purchase of a HP laptop, and I am very pleased! Setup and transfer of files was flawless. The system is fast! I will never purchase another Dell.
The computer functions fine but due to the type of anti glare coating on the screen it is unusable and I will be returning. The edges of words and the clarity of pictures appears fuzzy - even when compared to my other anti glare laptop and especially when compared to a phone screen.
Black keyboard is a big improvement over our previous silver one.

The Keyboard is much better than on the HP Envy this is replacing; the silver keyboards are very hard to read and only suitable for touch typists. There's less free space on the SSD than I was expecting. (The drive is the same size as the HP Envy it's replacing.) I fear the fact that if came with Windows 10 and was upgraded to Windows 11 has left a lot of Windows 1`0 crap behind.
I have only been using my new laptop for a few weeks but in that time I have loved it. My last laptop was very slow, hung up a lot and the speaker volume was not very high. This laptop is wicked fast. My only complaint is I hate how I was constantly pressured to use OneDrive. Part of the reason I purchased this machine was I wanted the storage. Imagine my surprise when I am being told I am out of storage - had no idea all the files I was moving over where being stored into the cloud. I finally got rid of OneDrive but it was annoying.
This is my first ProBook outside of a company laptop, we changed back and forth every couple years between Dell an HP, the HP's were my favorites. So far it has been great! Quality internals of Kingston and Samsung. My last personal laptop died after 2.5 years well respected brand also.
