This mount is only approved for 2"x4" metal studs when the overwhelming majority of modern apartments use 1.25" studs. Nowhere in the product description does it say this, it's not until you have it open and half installed that there is a small warning in the instructions stating this limitation.
If you have 2"x4" it shouldn't be a problem but be aware that this mount will likely not work for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
