Great sound but..,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As long as I am listening to a Bluetooth connection or on my TV’s HDMI connection it works great. If I am watching my regular TV then I just get a horrible noise. I have not figured out why yet. I did try changing the settings on my TV to optical but I still got the noise.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A sound bar that is easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally a soundbar that is as easy as 1-2-3 to setup and use. The setup was a breeze, which made me very relieved and happy. The instructions are clear and very easy to follow and I only needed the optic cord included. I have this soundbar in my bedroom and it works great there. The sound is rich and the volume can get high. I enjoy streaming music from my phone using the Bluetooth feature. Pairing the Bluetooth for the first time literally took seconds. Connecting to the tv was easy as well, I just had to press one button. It comes with a remote control which is easy to use. One of my favorite things about the bar itself is that it is sleek and low-profile. I recommend this soundbar for those that want an easy, non-complicated way to enhance their audio experience.

NICE SIZE, good hanging options, no better than tv

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will say that it looks the part, and has plenty of options to hang it or set it in front of the TV. I like that it has the optical in so that we can deal with pure digital sound inputs from the modern tv. I like the look of the item and that it seems the proper size for the tv that i have it with. What I am disappointed with: The sound is no better than the TV's built in speakers...in fact, if you look at the sound bar and the speakers, the main drivers are exactly the same shape and size. The only difference that I can pick up is that there seems to be a small 1/2" tweeter in the middle of the bar that the tv does not have.
The Bluetooth is strong and clear and works at the distances that it should. The problem is that the sound is no louder or clearer than the original TV and I am not really picking up the surround effect from it either. The amp is not powerful enough for a room larger than a small bedroom.
So, needs better main driver speakers and needs more power for better volume and surround effect.

Easy to install and great sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently tried hooking up a sound system for surround sound. We tried everything to get it to work. I had to take it back. I was a little leery about just an optical cord but it worked! I plugged it in and it automatically went to optical on my TV. It’s in front of the TV and fits perfectly. The sound as if they are in the room with me. I highly recommend this product for those who are unsure about hooking up electronics!

Looks Great but Low Volume

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went back and forth with this review on whether to give it 3 or 4 stars. From the looks of it, the soundbar should have been a major upgrade to any low end TV. For the price, there is really nothing on the market that can compare to it. In the end though, the volume kills the deal. When you have it low, its clear and crisp (better than my 6 year old TV), but as soon as you need to pump up the volume, the sound starts to deteriorate. As of now, I get better sound out of my stand alone smart device then I do when I connect the bluetooth to the sound bar.
Depending on your needs, if you are in search of crisp clean sound but at lower volumes, then the iLive could be perfect for you. At the price it is, I know it is extremely difficult to have insane expectations but volume is one of those things that just has to be there to make it work for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
