Great smart bulb!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smart bulb works in GE's Cync ecosystem. What's unique about it, is that you can switch it from warm white to GE's "reveal" color temperature. It's a bit cooler, with a purple-ish, blue-ish hue compared to the 2700K warm white.
I downloaded GE's super user-friendly app called Cync, and had this bulb set up in about 5 minutes. Once downloaded and linked to Google, you can set up routines, like dimming it on certain schedules, or turning it on and off at certain times. You can even switch it from warm white to "reveal" with Google. Unfortunately, at this point, it appears that you're unable to switch it back from "reveal" to warm white using Google voice commands. I spent about an hour with GE's awesome technical support working on this, and it appears my bulb is on an older firmware version, and we have not yet figured out how to get it to update. Maybe on the newer firmware, it'll give me the option to toggle "reveal" back to warm white using Google voice commands. That's the only reason I gave this bulb 4 stars instead of 5.
Anyhow, I feel confident that GE will fix this in an update. I've been impressed with the updates to their Wi-Fi thermostat since the first of the year, so I'm sure they'll do the same with this bulb.

Great smart bulb

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first smart bulb and love it! My kids constantly leave their lights on to their room. With the bulb installed in their light fixture, I can now saves trip upstairs to turn off the light and just have Alexa do it. Highly recommend

Having the convenience of speaking a command or using an app to control the lights is really cool and this is a great quality option.

Bright but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really good, and bright light bulb, and it does its job perfectly being a light bulb. One big issue was CYNC app was not detecting my WiFi network even though I was close to my router, so the smart functionality went out the window for me. I tried to restart everything, and started to set it up from scratch but it would not want to work. Wireless in the bulb might be defective?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im older, so I had no idea that there were already smart bulbs made. These things are great. You download the C by GE app and create an account. You then select your device and then put the lightbulb where you want to use it. It all works through the app and is actually very easy. I thought it would be harder but it really is not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lightbulb and app are wonderful! I love that I can use my app or my phone to control the lamp that I put the bulb in. Another great option is it can be use with Alexa as well. Customer service is quick and very helpful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bulb is easy to install. The directions are very good and it's easy to control. The signal of wifi does not have to be very strong in order for it to work. After it's set up it creates a mood in that room. It's fun and cool.

I will have to try a few more times bc it seems like it will be really nice. The set up on the app is very easy. It just can’t find my device
