Just buy a real hub

It only worked for about a month before it seems to have failed. Now, any time it's connected, it causes the hub and all devices to drop offline. This is repeatable with installing the dongle on a separate TV. The range also seems much lower than what you'd expect for a traditional zigbee hub.
Also fyi for Frame owners, this can NOT be installed on the TV itself - it's the wrong style USB connection. It must be installed on the Oneconnect box, which is kind of annoying if your box isn't fully hidden.
Lastly, support for this device is pretty much non existent. Firmware updates? Who knows. It's pretty much impossible to find information on the hub/dongle feature of the TVs, and Samsung support doesn't even seem to understand what that is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great unit

Great smarthub for smarthings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great dongle that is easy to setup. Just plug into USB it samsung smart tv and instantly make it a hub. I can now connect easier to all my devices, tv, camera, etc. Plug and play! Best device I got for the price. Has z wave and z wave firmware update. I would recommend this to anyone
